Homestead
Affordable cooperative housing
for people with psychiatric disabilities

Central open spaceHomestead, a new cooperative housing program in Davis, developed by Yolo Community Care Continuum (Y-Triple-C) in partnership with  Community Housing Opportunities Corporation (CHOC) is opening its doors Summer 2007 to low income people with psychiatric disabilities and / or in danger of being homeless.

There are a total of 21 bedroom units located in 5 buildings, each building with its own common space and kitchen. All the buildings surround a common yard and share an organic community garden. Homestead Co-op was built on land donated by the City of Davis and borders a pocket park, just north of the Davis Police Station in east Davis.  Rents will range from $200 plus per month and up, with some of the more expensive units accepting Section 8 vouchers making them more affordable.
