Support Options for Students

NAMI Yolo does not necessarily endorse the organizations and groups listed below. This information is offered as a convenience for the local mental health community. Because “things change,” please confirm the date and time of support group meetings before attending.

Research conducted by NAMI on college campuses shows that:

  • One in four students have a diagnosable illness.
  • 40% do not seek help.
  • 80% feel overwhelmed by their responsibilities.
  • 50% have been so anxious, they struggled in school.

The Best Colleges Guide to the Top Mental Health Challenges Facing Students helps identify signs and symptoms of common mental health issues for college students and when and where to seek help. Left untreated, these issues can become debilitating for students.
